Rodney Erric Williams

Rodney Erric Williams, Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer

Rodney Erric Williams (41), is a native of Memphis, Tenn. and a graduate of East High School's class of 1995. Following high school, Rodney was inspired to practice Funeral Service after the death of his grandfather George Williams, in 1996. Rodney attended Northwest Mississippi Community College earning an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Funeral Service Technology in 1997. He then received his Funeral Director, Embalming licenses and National Board Certification in Funeral Service Science and Funeral Service Arts in 1999, becoming a first generation Funeral Service Professional in the Williams Family. In 2008 he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2008 from LeMoyne Owen College in Memphis, Tenn. Williams currently holds funeral service licenses in Tennessee, Arkansas, and is the Founder of Williams Funeral Home Rodney is the only son born to Sylvester Williams (Manassas H.S.'66) Corporate FedEx retiree and Carolyn Williams (née) Lacy (Manassas H.S. '68) former manager-Memphis Housing Authority. Rodney has a sister Adriane Johnson –Williams , Ph.D (née) Williams, who serves as Special Assistant to the President for Strategy and Planning at LeMoyne-Owen College and twin sister, Raquel E. (née) Williams (Central H.S '95), who currently resides with her husband and child in Texas. As a first generation Funeral Service Professional whose career spans more than 20 years, Rodney remains deeply committed to providing the legendary customer service and quality care that he believes every bereaving family deserves.
