RETHA ANN PITCHFORD was the fourth child born to Shepard Pitchford Sr. and Elzenia Harris Pitchford on July 23, 1954. Retha Ann attended Klondike High School and later Shelby State Community College. She was known for her zest for life, fun and laughter. Retha Ann realized the importance of family. She could be seen hanging out with her sisters or at one of many Pitchford gatherings where she would dance, laugh, enjoy the blues and have fun. Preceding her in death are her Parents, Shepard Sr. and Elzenia, Her Siblings: Shepard (Boot) Jr., Rosemary Pitchford, Odessa Brown and Delois Brown. On March 29, 2019, An angel took her by the hand and lead her into the eternal presence of God. To cherish her memories are Seven Children: Renee Rufus, Tony Rufus Jr., Octavia Rufus, Erica Pitchford, Vernell Thomas, Shearley (bka Shelly) Thomas and Earnestine Pitchford. Six Siblings: Willie Harris, JC Pitchford (Glenda), James Reed Pitchford, Anna Pitchford, Earline Pitchford, Brenda Pitchford-Pope (Steve). Nineteen Grandchildren; Eleven Great Grandchildren, One Great-Great-Grandchild and a host of other relatives. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1621 Dellwood Ave. Memphis , TN 38127. Vistation will be held from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday at Mt. Zion.
